My heart goes out to the people devastated by the terrible earthquake in Indonesia…I can’t believe that tragedy has struck again, in so short a time. God Bless each and every soul who was affected by it…..and may the healing begin as soon as possible.

I can’t believe how time is flying…..I did an interview for a popular magazine on the Cape, and directed someone else’s t.v. show two weeks ago, and handed in a new show for May, for my t.v. show, and sent 10 songs down to a big publisher in Nashville, who asked to hear them. In the meantime, I’m getting essays together for a hard copy book. Whew! During all this the weather has begun to become nice again….the sun has actually been shining!! So I have been trying to get the yard looking decent, after the long, long winter. I LOVE the Spring…I am the type of person who craves the light.

HAPPY EASTER, and HAPPY PASSOVER, whichever applies:) This is the time of Renewal, when, at least on the East coast, the long dark days of Winter begin to melt away into the warmer, sunnier days of Spring…To those who live in areas that are being hit by treacherous weather, may God hold you in the palm of His hand, and protect you.

God Bless the fine people of Tennessee, and surrounding states…my heart goes out to them in their time of sorrow. The tornados, even if they didn’t affect some of the folks directly, when something like that happens it affects everyone…including people outside of the affected states. Nashville is the home of country music….the cradle of Americana….it is one of America’s prized treasures. May all who were affected recover quickly, and may God hold them in the palm of His hand.

Last night I changed my clocks forward..I never realize how many clocks I actually own until Daylight Savings Time comes along! Now the days will be brighter longer, here in the Northeast, which is fine with me. I am one of those people who loves the light…I begin to crave it around March…

Well, I handed in my finished second show to the t.v. station here…..the first one seems to be getting a good reaction…people are coming up to me outside and saying things like “I hear you have a great show on Sunday mornings”, and “I saw your show and enjoyed it”….I guess the ol’ “word of mouth” is at work! (tee hee) I couldn’t ask for more…I love to see people enjoying what I do…if it makes them feel good, and think about things, then I feel I’m doing my job.

I am very excited doing my new t.v. show for public television in Massachusetts…the people at the Media Center are wonderful (they have given me a weekly slot!!) and in addition to doing my own show, I am helping out with another show, for some people who needed some “behind the scenes” volunteers. Hard work, but lots of fun…

The weather here in Massachusetts has been fairly mild these past few days…unlike the turmoil that’s going on around the rest of the country. I read the newspapers and wonder if this is like the “calm before the storm”…I truly hope that no one is silly enough to use nuclear weapons against one another….that is mutual destruction, at best. Do we really want a world that is in darkness all the time? If we could only see and understand that we are all a part of each other….that what happens to each of us affects all of us….

Well, today is very exciting for me….I decided to put up my first video, Maiden Voyage, at both websites!! Now I officially will have to keep my hair combed (ha!)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all my countrymen and women….this is the one special American holiday where we look at what unites us, instead of what keeps us foolishly apart. This is the special feast where we celebrate being Americans….and try to remember what the Pilgrims sacrificed to help settle our country. I have been to Plymouth Plantation, and let me tell you, in Winter, which is when I went so I could see it at its “worst”, it is extremely cold and damp, with the winds blowing off the sea…it is absoloutely bone-chilling cold. But the spirit of the Pilgrims, where the first Thanksgiving took place, is what we celebrate on this day….the determination and will to create a good life amidst hardship, and the remembrance to give thanks, always, to our Creator, family and friends.
