The song, One Plus One, from the CD Crossroads, was written about betrayal… the betrayal by those who prey on and try to deceive the
innocent. The line I wrote, “One Plus One,” means there is no getting away from the facts of reality….as the old saying goes, if it “walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and acts like a duck, it usually IS a duck!”

When we were kids there were stories
That gave us illusions
Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus and Peter Pan

Little boys who fly on air
Boogie men hidin’ under the stairs
Imagination gave us a world we could bear

wanna believe in magic tricks but
I know it’s only in the fix ’cause

ONE PLUS ONE WILL ALWAYS EQUAL TWO
THOSE WHO TELL YOU NO WELL THEY’RE JUST FOOLS

As we grew up the stories
Soon became tales
Except for those who use them to capture & snare

with their magic tricks when
someone believes in them
