Many years ago I was standing in line at a post office in Manhattan, and I asked the question in my mind, why are things the way they are in this world? and the answer I got back was, “Look at the plastic chairs, and the vinyl floor in the Post Office…they were created because someone thought them up.” So then I realized that everything comes from thought….and maybe if we did something as simple as “changed our minds,” the world would change too?

I read a very alarming but interesting article today about the earthquake/tsunami that hit Indonesia last December…scientists are saying that it affected the entire world, with shifts in the earth’s crusts taking place all over the globe…with the energy of practically a nuclear bomb. Pretty darn scary!!!

Today was gorgeous for a change! The sun came out, and the grass looked green, like a carpet, for the daffodils and tulips. Spring has finally sprung here in the northeast!!!

I have a tendency to keep things….stuff that I think I’ll use at a “later date.” In actual fact, this clutter takes up space, and I can see how having less of it could become more comfortable. As the wise say, if you haven’t used it in a year or so, are you ever going to?

Time seems to be flying by right now….there doesn’t seem to be enough of it to get everything done. That is how Spring always seems…I think because once the sun begins to come out, and we try to include the great outdoors with our lives on the “inside,” it’s like doubling our activities!

Well, it’s amazing that I was able to fall asleep last night, after reading an incredible article about stem-cell research and how some scientists are placing human neurons into monkey skulls…and their trepidations that we will eventually have monkeys with human emotions. Or sheep with human faces….or, human embryos starting to grow in little mice. Reminds me of this horrifying movie I once saw called “The Island of Dr. Moreaux”…I laughed at the time, but I’m not laughing anymore!!!! Are we about to see the end of mankind as we know it?

Sometimes I wonder how I keep a smile in my heart….I figure it must be because even though the times seem dark at moments, overall I remember that God is always watching, always loving all of us….keeping track of everything that goes on in the Universe. Just knowing that, I keep in mind that it is He who will do the final judging of us all, and that all I really have to do “down here” is stay true to my convictions, and spread as much Love as I can.

The past 3 weeks have truly been difficult for people here and around the world…Terry Schiavo’s horrendous ordeal, and now the Pope has passed. Both are in the arms of God now, which is, of course, good. It is up to the rest of us to take the lessons from both of these passings…and may God have mercy on us all.

Easter Sunday is tomorrow….God Bless Jesus Christ who rose from the dead, to show us all the power of the Holy Spirit, and to show us that the Soul never dies….it is truly eternal. Happy Easter.
